Julie Jumper Morris
From the first moment you meet Julie Jumper-Morris, you’ll share her enthusiasm for the project at hand. Always cheerful, a born motivator and organizer, the word "perky" was meant for Julie. An employee of TXU Energy, she became the volunteer coordinator for the downtown Dallas employees in 1994 and in 1997 that role was expanded to include surrounding Dallas-area suburbs. In reality, Julie was a resource for all of TXU’s volunteer efforts in its North Texas service area. Employee groups would seek her advice and expertise as they planned blood drives, charity walks and benefits either as part of a community event or spontaneously to support an employee in need. More than 2000 TXU employees participated in volunteer events. In 2001, Julie moved back into a customer service roll with TXU Electric Delivery. This is the division that responds to problems you may have with your electric service. A recent restructure in October of 2006 led Julie to move to TXU Energy, TXU’s retail arm. In this capacity, she works to resolve escalated customer issues and issues from the Texas Public Utility Commission. This is a just a continuation of the service role she has had since joining TXU in 1986 at what was then Dallas Power & Light. Other jobs have included the phone center, Corporate Travel, Customer Service, and Community Relations. She has performed them all with a cheerful attitude and unending energy. Julie just makes you want to join her in whatever she is doing! WiNUP experience: Julie joined the North Texas Chapter of EWRT in 1991 and received the chapter POWER Award in 1996. She has served as Chapter Vice Chair 1993-94, 96-97; Chairman 1994-95, 97-98, 2004-07, International Board member 1999-2004 and served on the International Executive Committee as Secretary in 2006 and 2007. Julie was an integral member of the conference planning committees for Fort Worth 2001 and San Antonio 2004. She has served on several international committees. Julie has attended International Conferences annually since 1994. WiNUP has benefited from Julie's enthusiasm through those that meet her friendly face and helpful ways over these past years. Julie graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Curriculum and Instruction. She is married to Rocky and they have one son, Andrew, who is in the US Navy. Julie and Rocky enjoy traveling and history during their spare time, as well as entertaining friends.
