WiNUP Metro Chicago STEM/Community Outreach committee is partnering with Mommy’s Haven this holiday season.  The organization is in the process of opening a second location, located in Lowell, IN, which will serve as more independent living for their families after they graduate from the program.  The home is currently under construction; however, it will be ready for deep cleaning mid-December. 

We are looking for 10 volunteers to assist Mommy’s Haven with deep cleaning the home.

• All cleaning supplies will be provided by WiNUP Metro Chicago.
• Please dress appropriately for deep cleaning.
• Lunch will be provided.
• If you’d like to make a personal donation to Mommy’s Haven, please bring it with you to the event. They need everyday items such as, but not limited to:
  • Garbage bags, laundry soap, dryer sheets, toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, Lysol wipes, dish sponges, dish soap, pads (size 2-4), Tampons (Super+), Swiffer wet pads, gift cards (grocery stores, Amazon, Walmart, restaurants, etc.).
  • Specialty items: new throw/accent pillows for the living room (brown couches) & large storage bins/totes with lids to better organize their basement storage items for the families.
  
  

  Mommy’s Haven Mission:  To empower and equip moms and pregnant women seeking parenting options by providing physical, emotional and spiritual support during and after pregnancy. Mommy’s Haven provides shelter, food, clothing, and a supportive community. In addition to our services, we connect moms to appropriate agencies and resources. In doing so, we support mom & baby in both short and long-term goals!
