ArkLaTex Chapter Committees

 


Professional Development Committee

This committee is responsible for designing, coordinating, and overseeing activities that help chapter members grow skills, advance careers, and meet organizational goals.

Fundraising Committee

This committee recommends investment opportunities, policies, and procedures. Participates in budget planning and assists the treasurer.

Social Committee                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

This committee sets up and coordinates in-person gatherings, such as luncheons, throughout the year for all chapter members.

Caring Committee

A Caring Committee coordinates thoughtful, timely acts of support for chapter members during life events or crises (illness, loss, family milestones, hardship). Its role is to express the chapter’s compassion, connect members to resources, and help meet practical needs.

Membership Committee

Responsible for activities to maintain membership roster, including tracking member activities and event attendance throughout the year.

STEM Committee

This committee encourages STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education for our next generation of females.

Newsletter Committee

Responsible for producing the newsletter as well as organizing and storing all Chapter records. This committee will also maintain a history of past speakers and events, along with any lessons learned and post critiques. This will help in putting together the annual submission for the chapter achievement award.

Website / Technology

The website & technology committee is responsible for updating the website with important and accurate Ohio Chapter information. This year we are looking to redesign our website to follow International guidelines and move to a new provider.

Women's International Network of Utility Professionals is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (6) organization under the IRA Code.  Section 501 (c) (6) of the IRS code provides for the exemption of business leagues - which is an association of individuals with a common business interest.  Contributions to WiNUP are not tax deductible as a charitable donation.  Contributions may qualify as a business expense.  Donors should consult a tax professional.
